Help Karen raise money

For participating in The 2023 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

OUR FINISH LINE SAYS ALS DONE!

Thank you for visiting our page! This team began with a small group of friends who decided to run the Falmouth Road Race to support those with ALS. As word spread, more and more wanted to show support and we quickly grew into Hawley’s Angels. Of the 27 of us, we have athletes who run Falmouth every year to athletes determined to run it for the first time, and our ages range from freshly minted high school graduates to it’s not appropriate to ask thank you very much.

ALS is rare but as nearly 20,000 Americans have the disease at any given time; it doesn’t feel rare. Our team joined to help loved ones in our community in any way we can, and we jumped at the chance to raise funds for ALS ONE. We have organized a Sweetheart Dance, a scratch ticket raffle, a comedy show, and we’re putting together a night out in South Boston in July (reach out to any of our team members for more information!) Friends and local companies have supplemented our efforts with generous gift baskets for goods and services, and every time we reach out we are humbled by the outpouring of love and support.

We consolidated our individual fundraising pages to a single team page to maximize reach and unify our goal. We are beyond grateful for every single dollar raised. Please consider sharing our page to friends and family that might like to support this cause.

Description

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 51st running of the Falmouth Road Race! This prestigious event takes place in-person on August 20, 2023 along the coastline streets of beautiful Falmouth, MA!  At-home runners will complete 7 miles in any way of their choosing during the week of August 12-19, 2023.

Your support means the world to me and to all of us and will help to advance critical research at MGH, UMass Medical School, and ALS TDI, while providing essential equipment such as lifts, ramps, wheelchairs and assistive technology devices to individuals currently living with ALS via our care team at Compassionate Care ALS - all incredible partners that make up ALS ONE.

Your  donation is fully tax-deductible, as ALS ONE is a 501c3 non-profit organization (EIN #47-4984263).
