My Story…
Well after last years successful last minute entry I'm back again from the start racing in the Falmouth Road Race to support We Beat Cancer.
This year We Beat Cancer is racing for something far more personal than in years past. For those who do not know, my 3.5 year old nephew Kieran was recently diagnosed with B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (BALL) and has been undergoing treatment to fight it ever since. It will be a long battle but our family is rallying around the toughest 3yr old we know and finding ways to support him in ways that would make The Big Guy proud.
For those who don't know the story of We Beat Cancer - my dad Jeff Gallahue battled throat cancer and saw through his experiences the immense amount of stress cancer treatments put on families in ways one wouldn't think of. He started We Beat Cancer with the goal of helping those families and providing them the financial support that add up drastically over the course of treatment such as meals, parking, transportation, and so so much more. I'm proud to be able to jump in and help out as much as possible as we aim to help the Whall family in what will be a long long battle and road to recovery for Kieran.
Any donation in any form would be greatly appreciated!
Looking forward to the race and hope to see you at the finish line (have a blue can in hand if you really care) #KieranStrong
Thank you,
Patrick
