Hello and welcome to my fundraising page! 

I am running Falmouth this year for a cause close to my heart, Journey to Parenthood Foundation. 

I began my own fertility journey just over two years ago and, after seven rounds of IVF, am still on that journey. I fully recognize my privilege in my ability to access what I believe is fundamental medical care when so many others cannot. I’m running for them, to help bring a glimmer of hope to have a chance at building a family those who might not be able to today. 

I began running during my sixth round of IVF and have found it to be therapeutic. It helps me believe in my body, that it can do hard things (besides being a science experiment through IVF rounds), and gives me a sense of accomplishment in the face of experiencing feelings of failure throughout a fertility journey. 

Millions of people cannot afford fertility treatments and the financial constraints disproportionately impact people of color and the LGBTQ+ community. Journey to Parenthood is working to help individuals or couples who could not otherwise afford fertility care, adoption, or surrogacy get access. This is my small way of contributing to this cause…please consider donating and helping people realize their family building dreams.
