My Story…
Please help me raise money for this incredible cause to help children cope with the grief and loss of a parent. The money raised helps connect children with mentors who can help guide and support them through the difficult loss at no cost to the family. Working as a school psychologist, with many children who have suffered the devastating loss of a parent, makes this cause very important to me. Thank you for your donation and support. This will be my 4th year running the 7 mile Falmouth Road Race for empowerHER and every donation is helpful to this great cause.
Description
empowerHER® was formed in 2013 with a very specific mission—to empower, support and connect girls and young women up to age 24 who have experienced the loss of their mothers. empowerHER® is a supportive and inclusive community that offers year-round EVENTS for GIRLS that provides peer support and reminds girls they are not alone in their grief. Our MENTOR PROGRAM matches girls and young women with positive role models from the community to show “loss is survivable.”
