My Story…
I loved my time coaching Girls on the Run this past spring! I quickly learned GOTR is more than just a running program. GOTR believes ALL GIRLS are born with power and purpose. I loved watching this fun, research-based curriculum impact so many young girls, especially at a time in their life where their self-confidence is developing. The need for Girls on the Run is so important in our community so more and more girls are able to see their limitless potential.
For me, running has always been a big part of my life as it has brought me life-long friendships, helped my self-confidence, and created a healthy relationship with health and fitness. GOTR is a program that can bring this to girls at a very young age and I cannot wait to take on The Falmouth Road Race this August to raise money for them! Any donation is much appreciated!
Description
Girls on the Run is more than a running program. Through GOTR's program, trained coaches implement the research-based curriculum that builds lifelong healthy habits. Girls learn the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of physical activity, as well as tools for navigating the challenges of adolescence. Each season concludes with a 5K event where the girls run at their own pace, giving them a sense of achievement and a framework for setting and achieving life goals.
