My Story…
So excited to share that I will be running the Falmouth Road Race this August and raising funds for Girls on the Run so that even more girls can participate in this amazing program! I'm currently on my 7th season of coaching, and it brings me so much joy to see the girls build their confidence, connect as a team, and tap into their inner "Star Power" as we train for the Celebratory 5K. Girls on the Run is so much more than a running program - it teaches girls in 3rd-5th grade critical life skills, nurtures their physical, social, and emotional health, and is a lot of fun! Half of all participants in Greater Boston's program (1,800 girls and growing!) receive financial aid, and I would be so grateful for your support in making this awesome program accessible to even more girls!
Here's to me learning from the girls and tapping into some Star Power of my own as I train for those legendary Falmouth hills!
Description
Girls on the Run is more than a running program. Through GOTR's program, trained coaches implement the research-based curriculum that builds lifelong healthy habits. Girls learn the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of physical activity, as well as tools for navigating the challenges of adolescence. Each season concludes with a 5K event where the girls run at their own pace, giving them a sense of achievement and a framework for setting and achieving life goals.
