I'm running the Falmouth Road to END ALZ!
There are few things you can really *do* when someone you love is diagnosed with Alzheimer's aside from loving them, spending time with them, and trying to commit everything about them to memory. But, I wanted to find something to do to honor my Dad & when I found running + fundraising + Cape Cod (his favorite place on Earth), I thought, "This is it!" I was selected to join Team End ALZ for the Falmouth Road Race this August and have set a fundraising goal of $1551. Why the $51? We lovingly refer to my parents' house (51 Terrace) as "The Five-One", but WAIT. There's more...this is the 51st running of the Falmouth Road Race...and the race is the weekend of my parents' 51st Anniversary! If you've read this far and are interested in donating to my efforts, can you include 51 somehow? Maybe $25.10, $51, $151.51...you get it the idea. If you've ever met my Dad, you know that he is one of the most generous men around -- he never hesitated to give his time, energy, love, or laughter. Thanks in advance for supporting me and honoring Rich - he's quite simply the best.
