My Story…
After taking a few years off, I am back to running the Falmouth Road Race for the We Beat Cancer Foundation. We Beat Cancer is a nonprofit run by my sister in law Joanne and the Gallahue family. The Goal of We Beat Cancer is to help families who have recently received a cancer diagnosis by providing financial support that adds up drastically over the course of treatment.
This year I am running for a far more personal reason- my 3.5 year old nephew was the one with the cancer diagnosis. Three months ago he was diagnosed with B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (BALL) and has been undergoing treatment ever since. Despite all the surgeries, transfusions, and chemo treatments, Kieran continues to smile through it all. He is such a brave fighter. He and his family still have a long battle ahead of them. I am proud to be running to help Kieran and the Whall family continue with their brave battle.
