Why run for WellStrong? I have experienced firsthand the challenges, triumphs, and resilience of the recovery community. I know the transformative power of compassion, support, and understanding, and believe that each and every one of us can play a vital role as an ally to those in recovery.

Be it I am not a runner, nor do I fully enjoy it and though I am a born and raised Falmouth girl, last year was my first (and what I said would be my last) year running the Falmouth Road Race. As soon as I crossed that finish line, I knew I wanted to run again. For countless individuals battling addiction and other challenges, the road to recovery can be a daunting one. It requires immense strength, determination, and unwavering support. Every single time I doubt my ability to run, I remind myself WHY I run and embody the strength and determination it takes those on the road to recovery. By rallying together as allies, we can create a network of compassion and acceptance that enables individuals to thrive, heal, and rebuild their lives.
