My Story…
Hi, friends and family. I am running the Falmouth Road Race in August. Training has already begun!
Epilepsy affects nearly 3 million people in the United States, and 50 million people worldwide. As many of you know, my sister has epilepsy which can present challenges during pregnancy and motherhood. This is why I am raising funds.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital is leading the way to change the trajectory of epilepsy. Women diagnosed with epilepsy face a number of unique challenges when it comes to family planning, fertility, and menopause. Recognizing these challenges, Dr. Paula Voinescu at the Brigham is leading cutting-edge research for women with epilepsy during their childbearing years and beyond. The ultimate goal is to develop better treatments for women battling epilepsy and your support helps fuel these breakthroughs.
