My Story…
Hi guys,I am super excited to run the Falmouth road Race again in August. I will be running and raising money for “The Home For Little Wanderers” for the second year in a row. This organization means a lot to me because homelessness has always been something that I have cared about. I have seen first hand what homelessness can do to a person and their family, and I really support the efforts that The Home has made to help mitigate the effects. Homelessness does not discriminate. People from all walks of life can find themselves in this situation, and kids especially are the most vulnerable. My fundraising efforts will directly help The Home provide services for both families and children who are at risk. Every donation means a lot to me and the organization and I’m very grateful for any amount that will help me reach my goal.
Description
For over 200 years, The Home for Little Wanderers has helped build stable lives and hopeful tomorrows for children who are abused, neglected or in at-risk circumstances.
Our 25+ community-based and residential programs serve thousands of children and their families across the Northeast. Many of these youth are forgotten or overlooked by society and have experienced trauma, violence or shattered family lives. At The Home, we ensure their emotional, social, educational and physical well-being through a wide range of critical services.
The Home’s mission is to help children and their families build permanent, positive change through innovative programs including adoption and foster care, behavioral health and clinical services, residential care, special education schools and young adult programs.
The Home helps children at every age and stage of life, from birth to age 26, bringing stability support, and above all, hope, into their lives.
