Carol and I have been friends for many years now. Just this passed year I had the honor of dancing along side and assisting Carol in the super special dance class! I am so excited to be running on Carols team and raising money for the Moving Forward Incorporate!
Description
Moving Forward Inc is a small nonprofit program located in West Barnstable. Our purpose is to provide a day program for young adults with autism spectrum disorder, social anxieties, learning disabilities, and mild intellectual disabilities. We believe our members have strengths that once they themselves recognize them, they can move forward. I am inspired by the wonderful gift of happiness, empowerment, encouragement, and challenges, Moving Forward provides this great day program.
Reliable, accessible transportation is an essential aspect of Moving Forward Inc. Our team this year is raising funds to aid in the purchasing of a 12 person van for this awesome program. Transportation regulations require vans to be no more than 5 years old and th our vans are hitting that mark. New vans can cost $55,000 + so they need to begin replacing one at a time starting now. Without vans they are not able to transport our members to and from their homes and out in the community where they spend a vast majority of their time.
I am running to help raise funds for this incredible organization.
