My Story…
I’m running the 2023 Falmouth Road Race this August in honor of my cousin, Joe Kenney, who we lost in October 2019 to complications of his T1D.
Joe's love of life was unrivaled. So much so, that friends called him YJK for "Young Joe Kenney" an ode to his childlike enthusiasm and constant smile. He made every day an adventure - finding a way to make even the most mundane situations fun and exciting and to make friends at life's every turn. Joe lived more in 24 years than most people live in 80.
Please support me in honoring Joe's legacy and furthering JDRF's research. With your help, we can ensure no other lives are cut short by T1D.
