OUR FINISH LINE SAYS ALS DONE!
Mike and Kelsey will be running the Falmouth Road Race on August 20 with the ALS ONE team, in honor of Mike's dad, Kevin. Kevin Bolio died in 2006 of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This August will mark the 17th anniversary of his passing. Kevin was a loving father, dedicated police officer, and community organizer who advocated for adults and children with developmental disabilities and made an indelible impact on his community. An avid sports fan, we can think of no better way to celebrate Kevin's spirit, love of sportsmanship, and lifelong commitment to his community than by running this beloved race in his memory.
We are honored to be on Team ALS ONE and raising all we can up until August 20 to advance critical ALS research and providing much-needed equipment to individuals living with the disease now.
ALS can only be curable with the proper funds. There is so much hope on the horizon and this event and your support with any donation large or small would mean so much to us.
Description
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 51st running of the Falmouth Road Race! This prestigious event takes place in-person on August 20, 2023 along the coastline streets of beautiful Falmouth, MA! At-home runners will complete 7 miles in any way of their choosing during the week of August 12-19, 2023.
Your support means the world to me and to all of us and will help to advance critical research at MGH, UMass Medical School, and ALS TDI, while providing essential equipment such as lifts, ramps, wheelchairs and assistive technology devices to individuals currently living with ALS via our care team at Compassionate Care ALS - all incredible partners that make up ALS ONE.
