Our story…
The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation was established to ease the transition from military to civilian work for our Special Operations Community. Inspired by Glen’s love of learning and his passion for adventure, we aim to bring joy and personal advancement into the lives of as many people as possible.
Our focus is on providing current and former Special Operations professionals, from all branches of the government, the means necessary to transition and succeed in civilian careers. We do this by providing scholarships for traditional education and vocational/professional training.
Glen Doherty was one of the four Americans killed in a terror attack in Benghazi, Libya on September 12, 2012. This Foundation is our way to honor Glen’s life and his beliefs, and to honor all those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice defending our nation. We are a 501(c)(3) charity organization, established in 2013 (EIN: 46-1149168). For more information, please check out our website.
