Hello Family and Friends,

As you know I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. An integral part of our work is to promote self-efficacy, confidence, integrity, interdependence, and interdependence within young ladies. Therefore, we have a foundation entitled the PEARL Foundation.

PEARL, stands for People Educating And Reshaping Lives, is a 501(c)(3) organization that has been actively providing effective and meaningful programming for over 12 years in the greater Cobb County community and beyond. We strive to empower others and afford them opportunities to experience success through grants and gifts which support education at all levels and aid in the overall well-being of the young ladies.

We are having our 8th Annual Dashing through the Square 5K Run/Walk fundraising campaign. Please help support our youth by donating a monetary gift. Funds raised will be utilized to provide scholarships for deserving young ladies.

PEARL also has other areas of focus to positively impact our youth and neighboring communities. These services include but are not limited to 1) addressing childhood hunger and promoting positive youth development and leadership, 2) build community economic wealth, 3) promote sustainable and responsible practices to protect the environment and 4) equip communities to mobilize self-help through voter education and registration.
