2023 Shamrock Shuffle

Thank you for participating in our 11th Annual Shamrock Shuffle! We are very grateful to have you here whether you are running, walking, or volunteering to help with this event. Thank you to all of our sponsors without whom this event would not be possible!

IMPORTANT RACE DAY REMINDERS!

RACE START/FINISH:

At YMCA 4500 6th Ave

Leprechaun Loop (kids fun run) Race starts at 10:30AM

10K Race starts at 11:00 AM

5K Race starts at 11:05 AM

PARKING:

NO parking is available in the YMCA lot due to construction . Additional parking is available at both the Presbyterian Church & EFree Church. Please DO NOT park in front of the YMCA along 6th and 7th Ave. as those streets are on the race route.

ROUTE VOLUNTEERS:

You will see volunteers throughout the route. If you need any medical attention let a volunteer know and they will get a member of our medical team to you as soon as possible.

WATER STOPS:

Water will be available at two locations on the race route. Country Club Lane/Trail and 48th Street.

BIKES:

We will have lead bikes and sag bikes for both races.

CHIP TIMING SYSTEM:

This event is being officially timed by TimerGuys. Results will be available at the Finish Line or on the Kearney YMCA website. Results will also be emailed to you within 24 hours. Disposable chips are attached to the back of your race number.

AWARDS:

We will give prizes to the top three female and male runners in each race. These will be handed out as soon as the results are verified. This year all participants will receive a prize at the finish line. *We have some special “Luck of the Irish” prizes to be given to those racers with shamrock stickers on your bibs!

WEATHER:

In the event of inclement weather refunds will not be given.

We believe this is our calling as Christians. making an impact in the life of a hurting child or struggling family will influence not only their lives, but it will also impact our future.

Our Mission: To recruit, train, and coach community volunteers to assist the court system on behalf of abused and neglected children. We strive to advocate for a safe/stable environment, permanency, and the opportunity to thrive.

Our Vision: We envision a well-trained team of advocates to provide a voice for every abused and neglected child in the court system within our community.

What is a CASA Volunteer? CASA volunteers are community volunteers who are not part of the child welfare system. They focus their efforts solely on gathering information and making recommendations regarding children who have been abused or neglected and in the court system, who would otherwise have no voice. CASA Volunteers are carefully screened and very well trained by professional staff. They receive a minimum of 30 hours of initial training and 12 hours of ongoing training every year.
