How do I register?

Online here at Race Roster from now until midnight on June 2nd 2023!

Can groups register?

Yes, you can register as a group. Groups of 8 or more in one transaction will receive an automatic 10% discount.

Do I need to register my little kids?

Please do, it keeps our numbers accurate. Children 4 and under are free. An automatic age discount will be applied at check out.

What do I get when I register?

The following items are included in your 2023 registration:

For our first 100 participants a swag bag including info and gifts from our partners.

For our first 100 participants a hot or cold flax bag to ease those muscles; made by students of Roots School.

A link to our photo gallery post walk/run where you can view and/or order pictures.

A fidget/pop it race participation ribbon.

Multiple chances to win great prizes and receive discounts from the Vivid Fun Run partners and sponsors.

What to bring with me?

We highly recommend you bring a pair of sunglasses to minimize the risk of powdered paint getting in your eyes while racing. We do our very best to aim paint blasts away from heads. Our paint is non toxic, corn starch based, and does wash out. If you want your colours to pop, wear white.

What to do when I arrive?

When you first arrive at the Vivid Fun Run make sure you stop by the sign in tables to let us know you have arrived and pick up your swag bag. Then you can enjoy our other activities until the race start time. We’ll make announcements to keep you informed so you don’t miss anything.

Are there any contests?

Yes, there will be a best dressed costume contest. Dress up in your brightest, most vivid and vibrant colours. Want your paint colours to pop, wear some white. Contest categories will include; Adult (2), Kids (3), and Team (1).

What if it is raining?

This is a rain or shine event, so be prepared for the weather. A little wet will only turn our powder paint into liquid; let the colours flow.

Should I bring cash?

Yes, our post walk/run BBQ and bar will be cash only. Also, there will be some additional fun activities that will be cash only.

What is your cancellation policy?

Entry fees are non-refundable under all circumstances. That means that once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund for any reason. You are able to transfer your registration to another individual for a nominal fee of five dollars.

RACE ETIQUETTE

General Info

Runners are on the left side

Joggers and walkers are on the right side

Strollers are allowed

Walking poles are allowed

The walking and running course are the same, so all walkers will start at the back of the pack.

At the Starting Line

Line up according to how fast you plan to run or walk. Slower runners and walkers should move to the back of the group.

Pay attention to the pre-race instructions. What you hear will not only help guide you through the course but will also keep you safe.

If you drop something just as the race starts, don’t stop and pick it up. You’ll endanger yourself and others. Trust that one of our volunteers will get it, or move to the side and wait until everyone has crossed the starting line and then retrieve it.

On the Course

Run or walk no more than two abreast. Other runners will want to get by you. If you are walking in a group, stay in the back of the pack.

If you are stopping at a water/paint station, move all the way over to the table, grab water, and move away from the table so others may get water too. If you want to stop and drink, move to the side of the course, out of the way of other runners. If there’s a trash receptacle, please use it. If not, don’t go too far with your cup. The race volunteers will be collecting the cups and will appreciate not having to go on an extended “litter patrol.”

Move to the side if someone behind you says, “Excuse me” or “Coming through.” Yes, you are about to be passed and the person behind you is giving you a heads up. It’s proper race etiquette to let that person through.

If you need to tie your shoe, or stop for any reason, please move to the side of the road. People coming up behind you are still moving and if you stop in front of them, the scene is set for a collision.

Feel free to shout words of encouragement to other runners. The other runners will appreciate your cheers.

Pay attention to what is going on around you during the race. Think people preparing to pass, and uneven ground.

We recommend that participants NOT use audio devices during the race. You can become a hazard to yourself and others around you.
