Please help us make the Movement Centre of Manitoba’s 5th Annual Perogy Run the best one yet!
Words can't express how amazing the MC has been for our mom – Sharon. The Centre specializes in providing conductive education to children and adults with neurological conditions, like cerebral palsy, MS and stroke, regain as much function as they can and develop to their maximum potential and independence.
Sharon's Story:
At 21 years old - graduated from nursing and achieved her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. At 22 - started experiencing blurry vision & dizzy spells - Sharon got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Fast forward to today - Sharon is 65, lives in a personal care home & attends the Movement Centre (MC) once a week. Before coming to the centre - our Mom was in a "lull" and she didn't have much motivation to be active or interact as much anymore. When she started attending, we almost instantly saw a change in her, it has helped her quality of life in so many ways. Now that she has regained the strength to stand on her own two feet with assistance, she is working on being able to stand confidently and independently.

Description
Friends and family of the Movement Centre of Manitoba will wheel, walk and run in the Perogy Run on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Kildonan Park! and Kids and adults living with neuro-motor disabilities - have relied on the Centre for hope, freedom and independence. Clients of the Movement Centre are living their best lives thanks to the unique rehabilitation therapy provided there.
Our goal is $125,000 and every dollar counts!
