The Oceanside Running Club Association (ORCA) is excited to be hosting the “new” Mother’s Day 10 K run & 5 K run/walk following a 3-year hiatus arising from the COVID health emergency.
We look forward to welcoming returning and new runners, walkers, and valued volunteers on May 14!
New location, new route but same great event features! Centred in the heart of the quaint seaside Town of Qualicum Beach, the 2023 event promises to be the next chapter in the ongoing story of the well-loved Oceanside Mother’s Day 10 K and 5 K run/walk.
For 2023, there is a lovely 5 KM base route that serves both distances. The 10 K entrants do a double loop - twice the fun and enjoyment!
The start/finish will be the grounds of the Qualicum Beach Legion (Br.76) located on Veterans Way – the site of the famous QB Saturday Farmer’s Market.
The course is fully paved, utilizing both the popular Fern Trail and town streets, providing a safe journey through the urban forests, hobby farms and quiet residential areas of Qualicum Beach. Lots of shade along the route.
The 5 K is open to both runners and walkers, while the 10 K is restricted to runners only.
