The Flying Pig Marathon is partnering with Great Parks to encourage youth to enjoy activities outdoors. There are four events being held at Great Parks that youth can attend and count towards their training for the 26th Mile or Flying Pig 5K.

Grab your scarves and mittens and bundle up! Animal tracks, bird nests, and signs of life make winter a magical time to go exploring in the forest. Get an early start on logging your first mile in this winter wonderland program. Location: Miami Whitewater Forest/Timberlakes Program shelter (Free, register by 2/14) *Great Parks is continuing to monitor the Covid-19 pandemic closely and will make adjustments as necessary, with guidance from Center for Disease Control and Hamilton County Public Health.

Take a romp in the swamp this spring as you prepare for the final mile! Get active and exercise in mucky style by exploring the water of a wetland. We will be getting inside the water, getting muddy, and having fun, so please dress appropriately! If possible, we recommend guests bring an extra pair of shoes. We will be meeting at the visitor’s center and caravanning to the wetland.
