Information for Runners
-No walkers will be allowed. If anyone chooses to walk, they are expected to utilize the sidewalks and roadway in a legal manner with no police assistance or protection.
-No late starts will be allowed. Once the EPD tail car departs the starting line to follow the last runner, no late entries can be accepted since they will not receive traffic protection by the police.
-All participants should stay within one side of the roadway, allowing emergency vehicle access on the other side of the roadway (and to allow our motorcycle units to pass)
-Please plan on having one of your staff ride with our lead car to ensure the proper route is followed
-Please plan on staffing the route so that racers are aware of where to make turns
-While we will block the majority of traffic, there may be stray cars on the route that enter from various side streets/businesses and residents along the route (due to the location being densely populated with many side streets, and the people trying to enter the area for the upcoming parade). Please advise runners to be aware of their surroundings and yield to vehicles were necessary. We are prepared with motor officers to try and intercept any vehicles that enter the course.
