Our story…
As many of you know we recently Eileen, a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, to pancreatic cancer at the age of 61. She is gone far too soon.
It’s for Eileen & others like her that I am participating in Pancreatic Cancer Canada’s 5K run/walk to raise money for pancreatic cancer programs & research.
The walk in Winnipeg will take place on October 21st at 6:30 pm in St. Vital Park. I hope you will consider making a donation to our team in honour of Eileen.
Funds raised are distributed among all provinces. Funds go to education, programs and where the research is conducted.
Did you know that pancreatic cancer is a cancer that is not well funded, but it is the 3rd deadliest cancer among all major cancers? Only 1 on 10 people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer will survive past 5 years. That outcome has not changed in almost 50 years. 50 years!
Pancreatic cancer could affect any one of us at any age. Please help us to change outcomes and improve the lives of those affected by pancreatic cancer.
