• 9:00 a.m. - 5K
• 9:00 a.m. - 1 Mile Kids Run

Schedule:

• 8:00-8:45 AM: Packet pick-up, Registration & Bag Check available
• 8:00-8:30 AM: Judging for the “Best of” competition will take place in the Registration area. To be considered for a “Best of” award, report to the judging area between 8:00-8:30 AM. “Best of” Competition categories include:
  • Best Decorated Stroller
  • Most Drip (swagger and athletic style)
  • Best Costume
  • Best Team Theme
• 8:45-8:50 AM: Racers report to starting line in the DeKalb High School parking lot
• 9:00 AM: Races start
• 9:00 AM-12:30 PM: Post-race party
• 10:30 AM: Race ends (course time limit expires) and award ceremony follows at Katz Park Shelter
• 12:00 PM: Silent Auction closes & Raffle winners are chosen
• 12:30 AM: Event ends

Registration Fees: 100% of fee goes to free, employ, and empower women

• June 11 - July 25 - $35
• July 26 - 29 - $40
• 1 Mile Kids Run (ages 12 and under) - $15

Race Time Limit: 1.5 hrs

Packet Pickup: There are three opportunities to pick up your race packet.

• Advance: July 27th & 28th from 5-7 p.m. at Christ Community Church
• At the race: Saturday at the race beginning at 8 a.m.

Parking: Ample free parking is available in the Dekalb High School

Awards: The Aruna Journey Bag, hand-made by Aruna Artisans, will be awarded to the top female finisher, top male finisher, and top fundraiser in addition to a $50 Aruna Shop gift card.

• Medals - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Finishers ( Adult & Kid Categories)
• Certificates - 1st Places Finishers (Male & Female Categories for the following age groups: 17 & Under, 18-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-59, 60+)

• The Stellar Stride (For the stride that impresses the most)*

Team Building & Fundraising Prizes: Aruna gift cards earned for building a team and/or fundraising following the conclusion of the run. Teams with 15 people or more by July 1st will have a designated complimentary gathering space at the run, and they will be eligible for additional prizes.

Complimentary Bag Check: Available for all participants at Christ Community Church at no charge.

***FAQ's

Are walkers welcome?

Of course! Whether walking or running, we are all out there for the same goal -- to raise funds to help bring freedom to the sexually enslaved.

Are dogs welcome?

As much as we love our furry, four-legged friends, they are not allowed to participate in the race. However, they are welcome to cheer on the sidelines along the course.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Nope! As long you can cover the distance, we welcome all ages to participate. Parents are welcome to push kids in strollers. A child being pushed in a stroller does not need to be registered for the race. If a child is running or walking, an adult should be waiting for them at the finish line.
