Festive family fun! Join us at the best patriotic party in the Sarasota area for a 3.1 mile run or walk around the lake at Nathan Benderson Park and earn a Glow in the Dark Finisher's medal! Celebrate Independence Day with a patriotic themed race, then stay for the fireworks and fun! *Please note that if you plan to park on the island, you must purchase an Event Day Parking Pass from Nathan Benderson Park using the link at the bottom of this page. **Packet Pick Up will be on site on Monday, July 3 from 5PM-6:45PM621d34ed0f6d4.png

Virtual 5K Closed

Can't make it out on race day, but still want to participate? Run the Virtual 5K and receive the finisher's medal and official race shirt. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards.

The Fireworks 4 Miler will benefit the Big Bill Foundation. The mission of the Big Bill Foundation is to provide scholarships to youth that have battled childhood cancer or other life-threatening conditions. For more information or to make a donation please visit www.bigbillfoundation.org

We value runner safety. In the event of severe weather or other hazardous conditions, the director(s) reserve the right to cancel the race for the safety of its participants. Registrations cancelled due to public safety concerns will not be refunded, but instead used to cover event costs, with the balance being treated as a charitable donation to the event beneficiary.

Conditions that may result in event cancellation include (but are not limited to): lightning, high winds, flooding, fires, and other acts of God.
