Friends of the Katy Trail

Friends of the Katy Trail is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit dedicated to keeping the Katy Trail clean, safe, and beautiful with the continued support of generous individual and corporate donors. Friends of the Katy Trail keeps this treasured greenbelt runnning in peak condition. 

We maintain and landscape the paths, provide lighting, benches, fountains, signage, and pay all utilities. We also ensure that the Katy Trail is patrolled daily by both private security and Dallas Police officers. Without Friends, there would be no Katy Trail. And without donations from members, corporate sponsorships, and annual fundraisers, the Trail would go nowhere. It isn’t tax dollars, but support from citizens that keeps the Trail on track.
