This annual event is perfect for both the casual athlete and the seasoned racer with a beautiful, flat and fast course that will allow you to really see how fast you can go. BACK THIS YEAR! Olympic distance race in addition to the sprint event.
New this year, in honor of Huron triathlete Ethan Marquardt, the Ravine Lake Triathlon is raising awareness of brain tumors and the early warning signs. Ethan suffered a seizure in early January and doctors found and removed a brain tumor in the weeks following. He credits his friends and family for encouraging him to seek emergency care. Now, Ethan is using his experience to help others.
We are also planning features to make your triathlon experience even better. Area high school athletes will be encouraged to form teams and compete for a donation to their team. Businesses are encouraged to form a team and compete in the sprint distance for a travelling Corporate Crank trophy, team members must be employees or employee family members.
Helmets are required and swim caps are also required. A limited supply of orange latex caps are available.
FREE KIDS' FUN RUN - The fun run is free and open to kids ages 12 and under and will start after the races. No preregistration is necessary just a parental waiver for the fun run and all participants will receive a treat courtesy of Putters & Scoops.
Online registration closes at noon 7/28, onsite registration is available between 5-7 p.m. at packet pickup at the picnic shelter behind Putters 'n Scoops. If you cannot pick up your packet Friday night, pick up is available between 6-7 a.m. Saturday, July 29.
