Join us on September 30 & October 1, 2023 for the Second Annual Whiskey Run at Police Outpost Provincial Park for a weekend of canicross, bikejoring and scootering. Stunning views will keep you motivated as you hustle up and down some hills on an open 4.8 km trail (96m of elevation change). We have a fun Relay event planned this year too.
We have reserved the group campsite not only so we can all camp together, but to use as our staging area as the race trail is merely steps away from the campsite.
Mandatory Musher's Meetings will be at 8 a..m each day and we should be finished the main events by 1 p.m. both days. The Relay Event will be one day only - Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (this will give all the racers and dogs the opportunity to recover from their main event).
We wil be adhering to the Canadian Association of Harness Dog Sport Rules with the following exceptions:
1. Bear Bells will be allowed (and in fact are encouraged) on bikes/scooters/racers as we are competing in bear country,
2. Necklines are encouraged, but are not mandatory, in 2 dog events.
3. In the relay event, we will start with Bikejor and end with Canicross.
Registration opens on July 1 and closes on September 24, 2023
