It has taken a lot of strength and courage to be able to share this with our closest friends. 

After a long and continuously difficult journey, we are now on our own path of healing.

We are very grateful and thankful for what we have, the opportunities we have had and what we have achieved. We were excited that we were at the stage where we were ready to grow our family. However our journey to parenthood has not gone as expected. 

Zahaib and I have had a tough time the last 2 years. We have suffered 4 pregnancy losses. Each loss has been more heartbreaking and painful than the last. 

Multiple trips to the emergency rooms, dreaded trips to the pregnancy assessment units for emergency scans, blood tests, emergency surgery, the ignorance and arrogance of many who we were in the care of and the physical and mental trauma. 

We cannot begin to explain exactly what we have been through, however when we are ready and able to we will share our full journey.

It’s a long process for us and we are continuously healing and praying for our angel babies and are so hopeful that we will one day have our rainbow baby. 

With the support of the Butterfly Group, here in Vancouver, we have been able to have the opportunity to receive comfort from those who have had shared experiences and as a group we have developed the most unbreakable bond with the most amazing people. Our losses have tied us together for life.

To share our appreciation for the Butterfly Group, we will both be taking part in their annual 5k Butterfly run, on October 15th. We’d like to ask our nearest and dearest for their support, just a little goes a long way. We also understand not everyone has the means to be able to donate, from you, your love, support and prayers is all we need.
