The Texas Distance Challenge

Join the Texas Distance Challenge by January 15th when registration officially closes for the season.

Nominated as one of the "Best Virtual Race Experiences" by BibRave, Run / Walk, or Ride "The Crossing" up to 800 miles or "The Loop" up to 3,612 miles through April 30th 2024. Upon completion of the challenge, we will send you a custom Texas Distance Challenge shirt & finisher decal to commemorate your accomplishment!

Interested in shorter distances? Gather as many of your friends, family members or co-workers and conquer it as a team! The more people you have on the team, the less miles each person needs to contribute. We also added The Trek, which is "only" 100 miles! You have 4 months; piece of cake...

Season 4 updates:

1. To commemorate our 4th year, we'll be highlighting 4 major Texas Cities - Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio!
2. The Crossing will travel through the heart of Texas, beginning in Austin, south to San Antonio, east to Houston, north to Dallas, west to Fort Worth, south through Waco and ending back in our great State Capitol. Keep an eye out on the map for info pins with cool Texas finds.
3. The Trek: New this year! If you want to participate, but would prefer a lighter commitment, join us for a short trek from Waco to Austin, a solid 100 mile challenge that still earns you a sweet T.
4. All finishers will be mailed a super soft T-Shirt and Finisher Decal. At the end of the Challenge, if you have not finished but made it to at least the 1/4 Milestone, you will be mailed the T-Shirt.
5. Price Update: We've reduced the entry fee by $25 in an effort to make the Challenge more affordable so more people can participate.
6. Swag Update: We'll be sending a "lite" version of the Welcome Packet and all participants will receive a (2) custom Event Decals and Custom Bib. You can still add on a towel or extra, limited edition shirt during registration!

This is a virtual mile logging challenge that you can conquer from anywhere in the world. Don't worry, we won't make you actually ride across the state (yet)! We're also thrilled to provide participants with progress maps, mileage logs and Strava & Garmin integration in addition to traditional manual mileage entry.

The Texas Distance Challenge celebrates the great State of Texas and along the way you will explore the vastness and diversity of its offerings.
