Parents never expect to need a Ronald McDonald House, but we are there when families need us the most — during the serious illness or injury of a child. Over 65% of Canadians live outside of a city centre with a hospital, and must travel long distances for medical reasons. Our Houses in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Medicine Hat provide a home-away-from-home for families so they can stay together during some of life's most difficult times. A Ronald McDonald House will save families hundreds or thousands of dollars on accommodation, transportation, meals, laundry, parking, and so much more, helping alleviate the tremendous emotional, financial, and physical burdens families face when they travel far from home for their child's medical treatment.

Last year, RMHC Alberta provided 22,200 nights of comfort to over 1,200 families from 296 communities across the province. We hope to see Hustle for the House participants from each community impacted by a Ronald McDonald House!
