Help Janice raise money

2021 my husband and I stayed at the Red Deer RMH for two weeks. We got a call one fine September day to say that our daughter was born in Red Deer and we had a half an our to pack our bags and get to the hospital. We are a family formed through adoption and a birth mother had chosen us to be our daughter's parents. So we very quickly packed our bags and jumped in the car and drove from Calgary. As baby was in the NICU we were told we could be there for a minimum of two weeks but up to about a month. We gave no thought to really anything other than just getting to the hospital and only when we got there the nurse said "I've already sent over your referral to the Ronald McDonald House for you and whenever you are ready to check in they are expecting you" did I realize that we hadn't thought of a place to stay. I immediately felt some relief knowing I could be close to baby and have a place to rest. We had done some volunteer work already with RMHC and we knew the resources available to us because of that. I really can not find the words to express the magnitude of impact this organization has on families with sick children. To this day I don't know what we would have done without them.
