The Circus

The Circus is coming to town! A 24-hr or 12-hr relay or solo expedition, 30K, Half Marathon, 10K or 5K...

The rush of adrenaline is not in short supply as teams and individuals fight to beat the clock and each other. As the mileage racks up the trails take over, do you have what it takes to join the circus?

Take on the crazy circus of trails, challenging, oftentimes unforgiving, and amazing all wrapped into one package at McKinney Roughs Nature Park! Bunk with us or drive out, but definitely plan to stay for the music, free beer, and the excitement down to the very last min.

  • SOLO (the Lone Ranger) - This is no easy feat… you cannot run the same loop in a row, you must run a different loop each time to come through the start/finish. There is a high level of strategy required, especially when the clock starts ticking and you are competing for the most mileage.

  • 7-mile, 5-mile, 7-mile … easy peasy right? Not quite, that 7-mile loop is a good one. Often times muddy, softer surface from the horse travels, with a few steep inclines.

  • 5-mile, 3-mile, 5-mile … not an easy combo of 2 of the most technical loops. The 5-mile loop is definitely a challenging loop with an out and back by the river, technical, and lots of stairs to climb.
