St. Luke’s D&L RaceFest

November 12, 2023

Four fantastic races. One incredibly inspirational day.

Mark your calendars – on November 12, 2023, St. Luke’s D&L RaceFest will bring four signature events to the Lehigh Valley:

  • St. Luke’s D&L Marathon
  • St. Luke’s D&L Marathon Relay

Starting in downtown Allentown at 8:00 AM

  • D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run, Presented by St. Luke’s
  • D&L Heritage Half Marathon Walk, Presented by St. Luke’s

Starting in Historic Bethlehem at 7:30 AM

All races will end with a post-race party in downtown Easton! The course follows the Lehigh River for a net elevation drop with fine gravel or pavement depending on the section. Participants can expect a beautiful trail, joint-friendly terrain, and crisp autumn temperatures.

We are grateful to welcome title sponsor St. Luke’s University Health Network as an advocate for trails and a wellness champion across our region.

Proceeds will benefit Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Inc., a 501(c)3, for heritage and environmental programming as well as the ongoing development and promotion of the D&L Trail. Your participation will move the D&L Trail toward becoming the longest multi-use trail in Pennsylvania, stretching over 165 miles from Wilkes-Barre to Bristol.


This year, we've introduced a tiered pricing system for the St. Luke's D&L RaceFest that increases based on participant count, not dates. The St. Luke's D&L Marathon increases with every 250 registrants. The St. Luke's D&L Marathon Relay increases with every 40 teams registered. The D&L Heritage Half Run and the D&L Heritage Half Walk increase with every 200 registrants.

St. Luke's D&L Marathon Closed

  • The Lehigh Valley's marathon! Run a USATF-certified, Boston-qualifying course from downtown Allentown (including some miles in Little Lehigh Parkway) to Easton, much of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. The D+L Trail follows the Lehigh River for a net downhill course with a maintained surface of fine gravel or macadam. Must be able to complete marathon distance in 6.5 hours. Minimum age 18.

    The Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor's Annual Heritage Half Marathon! Run from downtown Bethlehem to Easton, much of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. Must be able to complete half marathon distance in 4.5 hours. Minimum age 14 - 17 with parent or guardian permission.

    The Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor's Annual Heritage Half Marathon! Walk from downtown Bethlehem to Easton, much of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. Select this option if you will ONLY be walking. Please choose the run/walk category if you are running and walking. Must be able to walk half marathon distance in 4.5 hours. Minimum age 14-17 with parent or guardian permission.

  • D&L Heritage 1/2 Marathon Run/Walk presented by St. Luke's Closed

    Select this category if you will be running and walking the half marathon event. Your result will be timed as a runner. If you are ONLY walking, please select the walking category. Must be able to complete half marathon distance in 4.5 hours. Minimum age 14-17 with parent or guardian permission.

St. Luke's D&L Marathon Relay CAPTAINS Closed

  • Pull together a five-person team to tackle the marathon distance. The relay course mirrors the full marathon course: downtown Allentown to downtown Easton. Relay leg lengths will be between 4 and 7 miles. (Final map with legs and exchange points to be posted soon.) Minimum age 10 - 17 with parent or guardian permission.
