Heart Beats:
Heart Beats Children’s Society of Calgary has been supporting families of children with congenital heart defects (CHD) since 1987. Many of these children are required to travel to the Stollery Hospital in Edmonton for life-saving heart procedures. Surprisingly, there is no public funding to assist these families with travel or accommodation expenses while in Edmonton. Funds raised from this event will provide much needed financial assistance for these families.
Funds raised will also support CHAMPS, a fitness and wellness day camp designed specifically for children with CHD. Champs enables CHD children to improve their physical activity in a safe and supportive environment, meet others who experience similar challenges and foster lifelong friendships and support networks.
Event Details:
This year we are returning to Confederation Park for a 5km run and 3km walk at 10:00 am. Please note that this is a fun event and is not timed.
We are also excited to host a free kids fun event at 11:00, to be held by the Community Centre. Although this is a free event, please remember to register to ensure every child receives their gift.
The package pick-up for all events is at Rosemont Community Centre from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, on the morning of the event.
Registration Fees:
Children ages 3 and under are free
Children ages 4 to 12 are $15
For all other participants there is Early Bird pricing of $30 for registrations up to May 14th. From May 15th to June 9th registration is $40.
Awards:
All registrants will be entered into a draw for some amazing door prizes.

Household Discount
Please note that a discount of $20.00 per registrant is available for family households of up to 8 participants. The discount will be applied to the 4th to 8th participant. All participants must be registered during the same transaction and must reside at the same address.
