Can I register on Race Day?
Yes, but we strongly recommend you pre-register. Registering in advance gives you time to fundraise and guarantees you receive an RBWC T-shirt.
My whole family is participating in the Race. Does everyone need to register?
Yes. For planning purposes, we require that all participants register. To register your whole family at once, visit MageeWomens.org/5K/Register and choose ‘Register Another Participant’ before you complete your registration. All registered participants will receive a Race to Beat Women’s Cancers T-shirt.
Please note that additional registrants will be linked to your fundraising page and will not receive their own pages. Should an individual want a separate fundraising page, they must register separately and provide a unique email address.
Do I have to be on a team to participate?
No, you can register as an individual. Visit MageeWomens.org/5K/Register and during registration select ‘No, do not add this registrant to a team’ to register as an individual.
Is there a virtual option to participate?
Yes. There is a virtual registration option. When you register, please include your preferred address so we can send a T-shirt to you.
We ask that you complete the Race on or before September 3. Make sure you take photos and post them on your social media using #RBWC23 and tagging @MageeWomens.
I’m having trouble with my account and/or registration. Who do I call?
For help with your account or registration, reach out to Race Roster directly at support@raceroster.com or 1-855-969-5515 during their customer support hours: Monday to Friday – 9 am to 8 pm EST, Saturday – 7 am to 8 pm EST, Sunday – 7 am to 3 pm EST.
FUNDRAISING
Is there a minimum fundraising amount?
No. We do not have a minimum fundraising amount for teams or individuals. The cost of registration guarantees your ability to participate. However, we strongly encourage all participants to work towards a personal fundraising goal of $100 or more.
Will I be charged if I don’t hit my fundraising goal?
No. We do encourage creativity to fulfill and even exceed your fundraising goal!
If I don’t want to participate in the Race, can I still donate?
Yes. Thank you so much for your generosity! You can donate to a team or individual by visiting MageeWomens.org/5K/Donate or by completing a donation form here.
Are donations and registration fees tax-deductible?
Registration fees are not tax-deductible. However, all donations are tax-deductible. Gifts to Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law. Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 organization. Our tax identification number is 25-1462312.
What are matching gifts?
Increase your gift with your company’s matching gift program. Spouse and retiree gifts also may be matched. Make your gift online and then ask your employer about your company’s matching gift program. The information can be sent to Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation, 3240 Craft Place, Suite 100, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
How do I use my personal fundraising page?
A personal fundraising page is automatically created for you when you register. You can upload photos and share your page with friends and family through social media and email.
How do I donate?
Online: Supporters may donate by making a gift to your personal fundraising page, where it will be automatically tracked. You will receive notifications when gifts are made, so you can personally thank your supporters. MWRIF will also acknowledge your supporters’ gifts via a tax receipt.
On Race Day: Check or cash gifts can be brought on Race Day and provided during registration. A donation form must be attached for each gift. You can find the donation form here.
Mail: Checks can also be mailed to the Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation, 3240 Craft Place, Suite 100, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. A donation form must be attached for each gift. You can find the donation form here. Please do not send cash in the mail.

My supporter needs a tax receipt letter. How do I get one?
Donors must provide their first and last name with a full address to receive a tax receipt. For cash and checks, be sure each donation form includes the donor’s full name and address, and we will mail them a letter when their gift has been processed. A tax receipt is automatically generated for supporters when they give online through your personal fundraising page. Should you not receive a tax receipt letter, please email events@mageewomens.org or 412-641-8950. You can find the donation form here.

How do I join or start a team?
Go to MageeWomens.org/5K/Register. When you register, select the option to ‘Join or Start a team’. Or search for your team's name.
Do I have to be on a team to participate in the Race?
No. You can register to participate as an individual. Visit MageeWomens.org/5K/Register and during registration select ‘No, do not add this registrant to a team’ to register as an individual.
I'm already registered to participate as an individual, but I want to start my own team or join a team. Is it too late?
Not at all! You can join an existing team by visiting your Race Roster home page and selecting ‘View Registration’ or contact us at events@MageeWomens.org or 412-641-8950 to start your own team.
EVENT INFORMATION
Where is the Race?
North Park Boathouse, 10301 Pearce Mill Road, Allison Park, PA 15101
How long is the Race?
Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. and the Race should conclude by 12:00 p.m. The Race begins at 9:00 a.m. with chip-timed runners starting first, followed by other participants.
For runners, will this be a Chip-Timed Run?
Yes. The Race will be a chip-timed run. Bibs will be provided with packet pick-up. There will be medals and awards given to runners in 21 defined categories. Should you not be able to pick up your bib at one of our packet pick-up dates below, you can pick it up on Race Day along with your T-shirt.
Where can I find my timing results?
Finish times will be available online as soon as you complete the Race and will be posted on wolfcreektrackclub.com.
How do I get my Race/Volunteer T-shirt and Race Bib?
By picking up your race/volunteer T-shirt and information, you can avoid the lines on Race Day. You can pick up on the following dates:
August 19 – 3240 Craft Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 – 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
August 20 – 3240 Craft Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 – 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
August 25 – UPMC Magee Womens Hospital – 300 Halket Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 – 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
August 26 – Ross Park Mall 1st Fl center court – 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Should you not be able to pick them up on any of these available dates, you will be able to pick them up at the Registration or Volunteer tents on Race Day.
Will spectators be permitted to attend?
Yes. We encourage family and friends to come to the Race and cheer you on!
Will there be strollers or wheelchairs available?
No. If you require a stroller or wheelchair, please bring it with you.
*Note: UPMC Shuttle Service does not permit strollers on their shuttles so please make arrangements to be dropped off at the entrance to the North Park Boathouse. There will be one handicap accessible shuttle running from both the North Park Ice Rink and North Park Swimming Pool.
Can I ride my bike or rollerblade on the route?
No. For safety reasons, bikes, rollerblades, skateboards, etc. are not permitted.
Is the Race to Beat Women’s Cancers accessible for those using mobility devices?
Yes. The Race route is accessible. If you or someone on your team requires accommodation, please contact us at events@MageeWomens.org or 412-641-8950.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes. We are pet friendly. However, only registered service dogs are permitted to ride on the shuttles. Any other pets can be dropped off with a handler at the Boathouse entrance. ALL PETS MUST BE KEPT ON SECURE LEASH AT ALL TIMES.
Will food be available?
Yes. We will have light packaged refreshments following the Race.
Will there be beverage stations at the Race?
Yes. We will have bottled water at the Race to keep you hydrated.
Will there be bathrooms available?
Yes. North Park public restrooms and portable restrooms will be available.
Can I smoke at the Race?
No. Smoking is prohibited at the Race.
Can I wear a costume to the Race?
Yes. Please remember that the Race to Beat Women’s Cancers is a family-friendly event.
Are there activities before and after the Race?
Yes, we will have vendors, DJ, UPMC Health Plan mobile unit, bandanas for survivors, race warm-up and much more!
Will there be security personnel and aid stations at the Race?
Yes. Participant safety is of the utmost importance to us. Allegheny County Police, UPMC Sports Medicine aids, and McCandless Township EMS will be on-site for the duration of the Race.
What happens if it rains?
Bring your rain gear, because this is a rain-or-shine event. Follow us on social media @MageeWomens (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) for information leading up to and on Race Day. In case of severe weather conditions causing delay or cancellation, we will also send notifications to all participants via email and text, if opted in. You can also call 412-641-8950 on Race Day and we will have updates recorded there.

Where can I park for the Race?
We will have parking available at:
North Park Ice Rink, 1200 Pearce Mill Road, Wexford, PA 15090.
North Park Swimming Pool*, S. Ridge Drive, Allison Park, PA 15101.
*A handicapped accessible shuttle and parking will be available at the North Park Swimming Pool only
Important Shuttle information: UPMC shuttles will run from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to transport you from the North Park Ice Rink and North Park Swimming Pool to the North Park Boathouse. Only service dogs are permitted on UPMC shuttles. Other pets can be dropped off at the North Park Boathouse entrance, accompanied by an adult. Children are able to ride the UPMC shuttles, however, should you have a stroller, please make arrangements to be dropped off at the entrance to the North Park Boathouse since strollers are not permitted on UPMC shuttles.
Will there be any road closures around North Park on race day?
Yes. Tennis Court Road will be closed for the entirety of the event and Lakeshore Drive will close at 9:00 a.m. (at the start of the race) until our event concludes. Additionally, there is a road closure on Wildwood Road (unrelated to the race). We recommend checking your GPS for closures and alternate routes during that time.
