We are looking forward to the 2nd Annual St. Cajetan Color Run! Here is a FAQ to answer some questions:
Q: What age do kids need to be to participate in the Kids Dash?
A: This NEW race will start at 5:45pm just before the actual run. The child needs to be 3 years old by May 12 through 1st Grade.
Q: How long is the Color Run/Walk and what is the route? And is it timed?
A: The route is three laps around and is approximately three miles through the streets and park. It is not timed and considered a fun run/walk. You do not need to do all three laps. There will be options to go to the end line if you want to end early. Everyone will receive a medal.
Q: Can I sign my child up to run on their own?
A: Children must be in 4th grade and older to run by themselves. Otherwise an adult needs to run with them.
Q: Can I bring a stroller? Wagon?
A: Wagons are not allowed. If you need to bring a stroller the route will loop on the street. Please do NOT go into the park.
Q: Where can I park? And what streets are closed?
A: We recommend walking! If you drive (bring towels for after the race!) If you do need to drive refer to the street closures and available parking lots at Barbara Vick and across from Smith Village.
Q: What do I do after the race?
A: There is a Post-Party in the Parking Lot from 5:30PM-10PM. You can purchase tickets for pizza, candy and beverages (including alcohol) beginning at 5:30PM. All alcohol must remain in the St. Cajetan Parking lot area.
Q: Will color wash off and is it harmful?
A: All color/ powder being used is non-toxic and can be washed away with water. That being said, participants will get color on them! It does wash off (but be prepared to scrub!)
