My Story…
In June 2020, the unimaginable happened – my beloved only sibling, Karen Gilliland, was taken from us in a harrowing act of domestic violence, stabbed 26 times by her estranged husband in front of two of her young children. Today, I'm not just running for Karen but for every individual suffering or suffering in the shadow of domestic violence. I relocated to Rockhampton to raise my nephew and two nieces, striving to provide them with love, strength, and a promise of a brighter future. Every step I take in the Run Against Violence is a stride towards raising awareness, and a hope that no family will ever endure the pain mine has. Let's end the silence, support survivors, and prevent future tragedies.

Help give young Australians access to healthy relationship education.
During the 2023 RAV Virtual Team Challenge, 100% of donations made via registration and fundraising pages will go directly to NAPCAN and the Love Bites program.
During the past 3 years, Run Against Violence has donated $290,000 to the Love Bites program making RAV the largest Australian non-government investor in the program's history.
We are on a mission to ensure every teenager in Australia can learn about what healthy relationships look like for them.
