Running a half marathon is a BIG DEAL. If the Crystal Lake Half Marathon or Fox Valley Half Marathon is your 1st or your 21st, this program is meant to help educate you and get you across the finish line as quickly and as healthy as possible. This 12 week program consists of every tool you will need to help elevate your running to the next level.
This program includes:
- Initial meeting as a group to get to know each other and discuss goals.
- Customized, individualized workouts sent directly TO YOU on a weekly basis. No workout is ever the same, athlete to athlete, week to week. Everything is customized based on your fitness levels and goals. As you progress, so do your workouts!
- Access to the Smith Physical Therapy app to deliver your training details to your fingertips.
- 4 In-Person meetings to educate on running technique after a video analysis is performed. Drills and strength exercises will be recommended as well.
- Education that will be sent out on a weekly basis via email. Topics include running nutrition, proper strength training for runners, important running gear selection, and more!
- A running community that will be connected via Facebook so you can meet your peers, discuss common goals, and plan group runs!
- Unlimited communication with Coach Megan. You will also have 2 monthly check-in calls/zooms with Coach Megan throughout the program to discuss progress and needs.

I signed up for the CL half-marathon training program with Megan in 2021. I found the entire program to be very helpful in preparing for the half and for a full marathon I was running later in the year!
