For participating in Tears to Hope Relay & Virtual Run 2023

Our story…

The Team Captain Amber Hayes has been living in Prince Rupert BC for the last 4 years. Prince Prince Rupert is connected to the nearest city of Terrace by 143km of unpopulated Highway 16 ( on the highway of Tears). Amber has participated in the Tears to Hope relay annually since 2019 but will be in the Kootenays during the relay timeframe in 2023. The last minute travel change generated the idea of creating a virtual team and inviting runners from Kootenay (South) to run the virtual event with virtual team members in the North :)

It is hoped this will generate more awareness for the event, the cause and raise funds for the Society.

Join the team and run, walk 5 or 10 Km virtually (anywhere & anytime between Jun 4 & 25th)
* An option for a group run in the Kootenays with 5 - 10 KM out and back options on June 25th is in the works (details TBD)

Tears to Hope Missions Statement " The Tears to Hope Society provides support to the families of our missing and murdered loved ones. We encourage participation in raising awareness through organized events, while empowering people to take charge of their mental and physical health, healing and wellness."

View their website & videos of prior years runs to gain insight into Northern BC communities and the wonderful spirit of this event.
