Join me for JCYC’s 13th Annual SF Aloha Run on Sunday, September 24th at Crissy Field in San Francisco!

This year's SF Aloha Run For Hope is focused on the future and young people who will one day be our community leaders. Proceeds from the 2023 SF Aloha Run for Hope will support JCYC’s scholarship programs which supports young people in pursuing higher education. This year, the organization is excited to announce that funds raised from the run will be used to launch the inaugural Julie Matsueda Believe Scholarship in addition to supporting the Excellence, Pathways and Thomatra Scott scholarship programs.

Wendy, why do you choose to work at JCYC?

I fell in love with one project that the teachers did and shared at a project approach round table years back and I kept asking myself, why can't my team at [preschool] make the project as deep as Chibi? The teachers at Chibi Chan share a variety of diverse experiences such as cultural differences and or personal differences. I feel really connected with most of the teachers through working with them. The teachers freely share their knowledge with each other and we laugh so hard together on a regular basis.
