Come join the fun for a great cause! All proceeds for the 5K, Virtual, and the Family Fun Run/Walk 3K will be donated to the Proffitt Brothers Foundation a non-profit that helps fund the hardworking veteran charities that get the proceeds directly to real people, locally, on the front-line.

5K Run will be timed and a T-shirt and wristband are included in the registration cost. The top 3 finishers will receive medals and other prizes. Please see below for more details!

3K Family Fun Run/Walk will all receive wristbands as part of registration. The top 3 finishers will receive medals.

Virtual 5K Run will receive a medal for the top 3 finishers. Times can be manually uploaded or timed with Strava or other running app.

Why are we doing this?

My name is Everett Jania and I am entering my senior year at Delbarton high school. The main reason behind this event stems from my love of running. Ever since I was a young boy, I participated in sports that involved running, such as Cross Country, Soccer, and Track. Recently, I began an internship for the Proffitt Brothers Foundation, a non-profit organization that works with multiple veteran charities.

The Jania Mania Race for Veteran Charities is the culmination of my passion for running and my desire to give back to the community. Since I have been running for the past 10 years of my life, a 3k/5k race is a perfect opportunity to raise awareness and help Veterans in need.

The Proffitt Brothers Foundation is sponsoring this event to ensure that all funds raised are distributed to veterans in need. The best way to help our nation's heroes would be to raise as much money as possible, which is where YOU come in. 100% of all the proceeds will go to various charities which help veterans, which could potentially change their lives for the better. What charities benefit from this event?

Proceeds with be distributed to Veteran-focused charitable organizations to fund specific projects and address specific needs. Here are the charities that will benefit from your generosity:

• Project Healing Waters brings a high-quality, full-spectrum fly fishing program, as a therapeutic tool, to an ever-expanding number of disabled active military service personnel across the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, in Military Hospitals, and the Warrior Transition Command.
  
  
• K9s for Warriors Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.
  
  
• Valhalla Sailing Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting awareness and advocating for the mental and physical well-being of our nation’s transitioning Veterans.
