Biking like a Viking Biosphere Ride | July 23
Canadian Birkie and Beaver Hills Biosphere teamed up to offer you a new and exhilarating summer experience. Unleash your inner viking on one of the following three non-timed bike rides while experiencing the landscape of the UNESCO-designated Beaver Hills Biosphere:
- Biosphere 160 km Ride (+/- 160 km) | Start 8 am
- Biosphere Century Ride (+/- 100 km) | Start 9 am
- Biosphere Half Century Ride (+/- 50 km) | Start 10 am
All three rides start and finish at the Strathcona Olympiette Centre, 52029 Ceretzke Rd, Sherwood Park, T8C 1B5

Your Biking Like a Viking registration includes a unique cycling experience with:
- Race entry for your chosen distance
- Professional marked road cycle tour
- A Biking Like a Viking Bib
- Nutrition and Aid stations strategically located along the routes
- Finish Line Catering
- On course ambassadors to provide start line information and ensure safety
- Routes will be supported by motorcycle and bicycle marshals equipped with tools for light maintenance & repairs, extra water and nutrition, fully equipped bike maintenance vehicles and sag wagons

- Participant needs to be 12 years or older
- Participant between 12 years and 18 years need to be accompanied by an adult

The UNESCO-designated Beaver Hills Biosphere is a special place where people are living and working with nature to inspire a positive future. Ride participants can experience the distinct geography, diverse wildlife and exceptional natural areas of this unmistakable Alberta landscape.
