Q1 My child wants to do the Kids run. Can I run with them? Do I have to register?
A1 You can run with your child for free in the Kids Run. If you plan on running with your child in the Kids Run and have registered for the 5K or 10K race, please do not wear your race bib when you run with your child. All race bibs contain chip transponders which will trigger the race timer.
Q2 Can I run the race with my pet?
A2 No. Animals are not permitted on the race route.
Q3 Can I complete the race on rollers blades?
A3 No. Roller blades, inline skates, skateboards, bicycles, scooters, rickshaws, and motorized wheelchairs are not permitted on the race route.
Q4 Can I run the race with my child in a stroller?
A4 You may run the race with your stroller/baby jogger but you must start at the end of the race group and must yield right of way to all runners that want to pass you on the route. The course is a 5K loop so please be aware that you will be passed by multiple runners completing the 10K distance and must not be in a position on the route that would impede their progress or put yourself, your child or other runners in any danger. Also note that although there will be Police on the race route providing traffic control, the streets used for the race are not completely closed to vehicles. Failure to follow the above guidelines will result in immediate removal from the race route.
Q5 I am completing the Virtual option. Do I need to do it on race day? Do I need to submit my proof of completion or my race time to receive my race swag?
A5 No. Virtual runners may run or walk whatever distance they want on a date and time that is convenient for them. This can be anytime between May and Dec. Runs do not have to be logged and proof of completion is not required to receive your race swag. The Race Director will contact virtual participants to coordinate pick-up/delivery of all race swag.
Q6 Can I park on the Base?
A6 Access to CFB Halifax requires photo ID. Available parking options will be sent out to all participants via email once confirmed but it is expected that these will be very limited. It is recommended to park off Base and walk in through the Museum gate by the Start/Finish race chute.
Q7 Is there a bag check to store my belongings?
A7 No.
Q8 Will there be bathrooms or change rooms on site?
A8 There will be porta potties on site but no change rooms available.
