Marathon & Half Marathon Warm-Up Series
Born in 1986, the Marathon Warm-up Series has traditionally consisted of races run by organizations that dedicate part of their proceeds to support local charities and, in the early days, proceeds from the events went to help install the trail lights in Memorial Park. Those who are preparing for the Houston Marathon find the gradually-increasing distances of 10M, Half Marathon, 25K, and 30K, spaced about a month apart, ideal for marathon training. The Half Marathon warm-up series also follows a progression-to-plateau of 5M (relay), 10K, 10M, and 15K races.
Although each race supports registration on their individual sign-up pages, the bundles provided here offer a simple means of signing up for four races at once with a discounted total price, organized courtesy of the Houston Area Road Runners Association.

The series leads up to the Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Half Marathon on January 14, 2024.
