Can anyone participate?
Fort to Forge is open to all ages. Please note that the course has some challenging hills and includes gravel and uneven roads. All participants age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the course. Children in strollers and backpacks participate for free.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE A SIGNED PARTICIPATION WAIVER IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE! Anyone who did not sign the waiver during online registration must sign one when picking up their race kit in order to board the bus or participate in the run/walk.
If you register anyone under the age of 18, you must sign their waiver.
Can I register on the day of the run?
Yes, we accept in-person registration at Trinity Town Hall 5:00-7:00 p.m. the night before, and 7:00-8:45 a.m. the morning of the event. PLEASE NOTE that we cannot accept credit or debit payment. Late registration is by CASH OR CHEQUE only.
Are dogs and strollers allowed on the course?
Dogs are not permitted on the course. We welcome them at the finish line, providing they are on a leash at all times. Strollers are allowed on the course. Please be aware that we share the course with cars, and parts of the course are alongside coastal cliffs. If children are out of their stroller or backpack, please keep them within close reach. As you will need to take the stroller on the bus to the starting line, please make sure it is collapsible.
Are there washrooms along the course?
No. Washrooms are NOT available at the starting lines or along the course. There are pubic washrooms in Trinity beside Hiscock House, a one-minute walk from the Town Hall.
When can I pick up my run package?
Package pick-up and in-person registration are at the Town Hall in Trinity 5:00-7:00 p.m. the night before and 7:00-8:45 a.m. the morning of the event.
When will I get my t-shirt?
T-shirts are handed out with the race package. Please select your size when you register.
What time does the race start?
Starting time is 10:00 am SHARP. Buses leave for the starting lines at 9:30 am SHARP. If you miss the bus, you must make your own way to the starting line.
When are medals and prizes given out?
Ice cream medals are given to each participant when they cross the finish line. We announce prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers (in each category) and draw prize winners when the majority of participants have finished - approximately 75 minutes after the start.
Where can I park?
Parking is available in the main town parking lot, across from Lester Garland house and behind the town hall.
