At The Runners Shop we LOVE relays. They give you a chance to race as part of a team and they bring the community together in a fun way.

We are delighted to partner with ON to bring you a unique, rarely seen in Canada event.

The DISTANCE MEDLEY RELAY

MIXED TEAMS OF 2 MEN AND 2 WOMEN

Varsity Stadium

Sunday July 9th, 3 p.m.

$40 per team/$10 per runner

WHAT IS A DISTANCE MEDLEY RELAY

A distance medley relay is a track and field event in which four athletes run as part of a relay team, each runner completing a different distance.

First Leg - 1200 metres (3 laps)

Second Leg - 400 metres ( 1 lap)

Third Leg - 800 metres ( 2 laps)

Fourth Leg - 1600 metres ( 4 laps)

Results will be based on total team time.

THIS IS A MIXED TEAM RELAY ONLY. TWO WOMEN AND TWO MEN

REGISTRATION

Captains! You can sign up individually and create a team that others can join, or you can register your entire team all at once.

It's not necessary to decide before registering who is going to run what leg. On race day your team will be given four bibs which will indicate legs 1, 2, 3 or 4. Pick your poison.

PRIZES and AWARDS

RANDOM DRAW Every team will be entered to win a pair of ON SHOES for each member of the team.

1ST PLACE

The fastest team will also win a pair of ON shoes for each runner

2ND PLACE

A $100.00 GIFT CARD FROM THE RUNNERS SHOP TO EACH MEMBER OF THE TEAM

3RD PLACE
