The RBC Race for the Kids (RFTK) is a compelling series of global charitable runs supporting children’s causes that started as a single race in New York in 2009. RBC Race for the Kids has grown into a series of 25+ family fun races that take place around the world. More than 360,000 participants have raised over $82 million CAD for youth charities across the globe.
In addition to NYC, runs are also held in 15 major cities around the world, including Chicago, Minneapolis, Toronto, London, Hong Kong and Sydney. In the Caribbean, there are races in Barbados, Cayman Islands, The Bahamas and Trinidad and Tobago.
The Trinidad and Tobago edition supports the RBC Caribbean Children’s Cancer Fund and assists Caribbean youth, under the age of 16, who have been diagnosed with cancer. It funds care, treatment and testing to fight the dreaded disease. Many children in Trinidad and Tobago battle cancer every day. To date, over 280 children have been treated.
