64ef98d504765.pngCharlotte Family Housing is a shelter-to-housing program for working families experiencing homelessness. Their mission is to empower working families experiencing homelessness achieve life-long self-sufficiency through shelter, housing, supportive services, and advocacy.

Charlotte Family Housing will specifically use these funds to redesign, refurbish, restructure, and restock their MAP (Motivated Achievement Points) “Store.” The store has household necessities that families require when moving from the shelter into supportive housing. Points are earned to shop by meeting program benchmarks, milestones and goals.

Ramona is the Community Affairs Manager for Radio One and the former co-personality with Charlotte’s highly-rated Matt and Ramona Show for over 20 years on WLNK. In her free time, she volunteers with numerous charitable organizations and enjoys decorating, traveling and movies. Most Sundays, you will find her fellowshipping with other believers and watching her beloved Carolinas Panthers afterward.


Thank you for your support of the Strides for Shelter 5K. Since the inception of the Strides for Shelter 5K in 2016, the Canopy Housing Foundation has returned more than $130,000 from the race proceeds to several worthy local beneficiaries who are all working to address the needs of the homeless.

As the sponsoring organization, the Canopy Housing Foundation is the charitable arm of the Canopy Realtor® Association. The Foundation works to create a community where all housing needs are met through advocacy, education, funding and leadership.
