The City of Guadalajara through the Council of the Edilicia Commission of Health, Sports, and Youth Attention of the Municipality of Guadalajara, and the Decentralized Public Organization of the Municipal Public Administration, known as the Municipal Sports Council of Guadalajara (Organizing Committee), with the endorsement of World Athletics (WA), Mexican Federation of Athletics Associations, A.C. (FMAA), and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).

At the time of registration, athletes must provide accurate information, which will be considered as a sworn statement regarding their health condition and authorization for the Release of Liability and Privacy Notice of the XXXIX GUADALAJARA MEGA® INTERNATIONAL MARATHON 2023, HYDRATED BY ELECTROLIT®.
Start, Route, and Finish
The start will take place on Sunday, November 5, 2023, in the Downtown area of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, for the XXXIX GUADALAJARA MEGA® INTERNATIONAL MARATHON 2023, HYDRATED BY ELECTROLIT®. It is planned to have different starting zones to improve the comfort and safety of all athletes, according to their accredited qualifying times.
06:20 Paralympic categories (zone 1).
06:30 Elite athletes (zone 2) and classified athletes (zone 3).
06:35 Conventional athletes (zone 4).
Categories and Qualifying Times
The Organizing Committee will take into account the times provided by each athlete on their registration form when making the classifications for any category. The age considered will be the age attained on the day of the event.

To determine the corresponding zone for each athlete and place them with runners of their competitive level, the Organizing Committee will verify the data collected during registration.

Central offices of the Municipal Sports Council of Guadalajara, located at Nevado de Toluca Street No. 100, between Av. de los Maestros and Siete Colinas Street, Independencia neighborhood.
A maximum of 4,000 registrations will be allowed, and each registration will have a fee as follows:
$290.00 (two hundred ninety Mexican pesos 00/100) per person, after the publication of this call until Sunday, July 30, 2023.
$390.00 (three hundred ninety Mexican pesos 00/100) per person, from Monday, July 31, 2023, until Sunday, September 3, 2023.
$490.00 (four hundred ninety Mexican pesos 00/100) per person, from Monday, September 4, 2023, until Saturday, November 4, 2023.
The participant may incur additional bank charges when making the payment, depending on the platforms used.
The following athletes are exempt from the registration fee:
• For 200 athletes aged 60 and above, completed on the day of the event, they must make a written request addressed to the General Director of the Municipal Sports Council of Guadalajara, attaching a copy of the INAPAN, INE, or valid passport. This is subject to availability.
• For 100 Parathletes in the categories: I Athletes using wheelchairs, J Athletes with total blindness and visual impairment, and K Athletes with bilateral hearing impairment and a decibel level equal to or greater than 55 in both ears, they must make a written request addressed to the General Director of the Municipal Sports Council of Guadalajara, and provide proof of permanent disability through a certified or medical diagnosis signed and stamped by the issuing professional. This is subject to availability.
• For 150 Elite athletes who demonstrate that they have established records endorsed by World Athletics to compete in label events, as well as all athletes authorized by FMAA, subject to availability.
• All athletes designated as special guests by the Organizing Committee.
The Organizing Committee is not responsible for the reliability, accuracy, and/or suitability of registrations made through third parties, nor does it assume any obligation regarding availability and/or price.
Awards
Athletes who complete the certified and standardized route will receive a commemorative medal.
The total cash prize in Mexican pesos will be $1,700,000.00 (one million pesos 00/100 M.N.).
Responsibilities and Data Protection
This event is part of the Official WA and FMAA Calendar, so upon registration, the athlete's basic data may be shared with the following entities:
• WA
• FMAA
• Insurance company providing mandatory accident and civil liability services.
• Sponsors.
In any case, and in accordance with the personal data protection law, the interested party can exercise their rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation, and portability in the future through a written request or email.

By registering, athletes declare that they are aware of and accept the present regulations, as well as the Disclaimer of Liability and Data Protection. In case of doubt, the criteria of the Organizing Committee will prevail. Specifically, by registering, athletes subscribe to the following declaration:
"I participate in the race entirely voluntarily and am fully aware of its complexity, considering its distance and technical difficulty. I declare that I have sufficient technical knowledge, experience, and physical and psychological condition to face the characteristics of the event.
